Our client is currently recruiting for an Enterprise Architecture Director that can do a 3-day hybrid approach onsite in our Farmington Hills office. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set.
Job DescriptionProvides architectural leadership to the organization with an emphasis on a unified technical architecture in support of our business strategies. Brings the necessary technical domains together and ensures that platforms and services are modular, reusable, and deliverable via a variety of platforms and channels. Assesses the business environment, current technology implementation, and technology capabilities and establishes a technical roadmap for the organization.
- Lead and direct staff in area of responsibility with an emphasis on talent management, development and succession planning in line with the company’s strategic direction.
- Provide technical leadership to the team of domain (expert) architects (data, security, applications, infrastructure).
- Provide technical thought leadership and design and document an enterprise architecture, incorporating all domains into a coordinated technical environment.
- Ensure business and technology strategies are aligned against the company’s operating model and technologies.
- Design modern architecture standards and paradigms and ensure technology evolves with the pace of change in technology and maintains or improves security posture.
- Create and articulate an architectural vision that supports business strategies and operational needs.
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to understand business goals and technical direction and translate to architectural solutions.
- Build and maintain the overall technology architecture with in-depth knowledge of the company’s existing IT architecture, technology portfolio, and business strategy. Develop, document, communicate and enforce architecture principles and technology standards.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of development efforts and recommend technologies that will support business strategies and targeted outcomes.
- Influence senior leadership on architectural vision, the case for change, and the path forward with the ability to obtain agreement and funding.
- Develop and maintain a technical architectural environment that makes best use of existing tools and capabilities, and positions Amerisure to more easily evaluate and adopt new tools and techniques.
- Understand and resolve complex technical issues that cross our technology domains.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 15 years of experience designing technical solutions with 5 years of experience as an architect.
- 3 years of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated successful ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Demonstrated ability to architect and engineer complex cross-domain technical solutions with strong capability, performance, stability, and capacity.
- Insurance or financial services industry experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated Subject Matter Expertise (SME) level experience and knowledge of multiple software development platforms and tools, database structures and data pipelines, and integration best practices.
- Experience in one or more systems development life cycle methodologies, including those that support agile and Dev Ops based development.
- Demonstrated research and development skills in evaluating new technologies for potential use in solutions.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business and technology teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Expert knowledge of the major trends in architecture that enable proactive deployment of new technology as a transformational/competitive advantage.
$200,000 - $250,000 (depends on experience level).
