Our client seeks a Lead Agilist to support an Agentic AI engineering team. The role will coach and facilitate Agile Squad practices, foster servant leadership, and partner with Product Owners and developers to deliver business value. The Lead Agilist will build a trusting environment, remove impediments, and guide adoption of Scrum and complementary Agile practices. The role will also collaborate with Information Security and encourage continuous improvement using data and feedback loops.

Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities- Support one or more Agile Squads and ensure effective application of Agile and Scrum values and principles.
- Facilitate Scrum events and ensure teams realize value from Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement.
- Coach Product Owners and Development Teams on Product Backlog management and shared understanding of scope, purpose, and success criteria.
- Promote servant leadership, team self-organization, continuous improvement, and cross-functionality.
- Remove impediments and elevate when needed to appropriate organizational entities.
- Foster a trusting, safe environment for open discussion and collaborative problem solving.
- Encourage use of empirical data, metrics, and feedback loops to drive improvement.
- Collaborate with Information Security and other partners to manage risks, dependencies, and coordination.
- Leverage practices that support agility, including CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Dev Ops concepts.
- Mentor and teach Agile practices across the organization and model collaborative, open behavior.
- 5+ years of Scrum Master experience.
- Active engagement in Agile communities and continual learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or exposure to embedding AI in solutions.
- Experience partnering with Information Security teams.
- Demonstrated ability to remove blockers for teams.
- 5+ years of full-time business experience.
- 3+ years of hands‑on Scrum experience.
- Experience presenting, teaching, mentoring, and facilitating at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to resolve interpersonal and organizational conflicts and serve as a mediator.
- Coaching skills with the ability to convey complex messages and teach new concepts.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle disciplines and Agile-supportive practices such as CI/CD and test automation.
- Working knowledge of other Agile frameworks and practices such as Kanban, Scrumban, XP, and Mob Programming.
- Ability to shield teams, promote innovative thinking, and build trust and rapport.
- Agile certifications preferred but not required with proven experience.
- Bachelor's in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience.
