The First Mile Business Process team is part of Amway's broader First Mile Logistics organization, which includes Global Customs Compliance & Trade, Global Transportation, and Global Warehousing. Together, these teams support the movement, compliance, and storage of raw materials and finished goods across Amway's global supply chain.
The team serves as a bridge between business and technology, partnering with Engineering, Analytics, and operational teams to improve processes, enhance visibility, and drive data-based decision making. Through continuous improvement and digital innovation, the team helps colleagues around the world make faster, smarter, and more informed business decisions.
How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:The intern will support process improvement, analytics, and technology enablement initiatives that strengthen Global First Mile Logistics operations. Working alongside business and technical stakeholders, the intern will help analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, leverage data to drive insights, and contribute to projects that improve efficiency and decision making across the supply chain.
An example of a typical project would be:Example #1 Supply Chain Process Improvement
- Analyze current logistics and operational processes to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that streamline workflows and improve business outcomes.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that provide actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization.
- Assist with data validation, visualization, and performance measurement initiatives.
- Partner with business and technical teams to support digital transformation and process modernization efforts.
- Help document requirements, test solutions, and support implementation of new tools and capabilities.

Academic Eligibility:
Students who will have completed their freshman or sophomore year by the start of the internship and have an anticipated graduation date between December 2028 and April 2030.

- Excel
- Tableau and Altreryx (nice to have, not necessary)
- Data analysis
- Process mapping/documentation
- Basic SQL
- Experience with Claude
