Supply Chain Representative

This position is responsible for managing international logistics, order fulfillment, demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supplier coordination to ensure efficient and timely product delivery. The role will collaborate with customers, affiliates, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize cost, quality, inventory, and delivery performance while ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements. The position will also contribute to financial reporting and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.

• Orchestrate international logistics operations by managing comprehensive documentation workflows for outbound shipments, cross-border transfers, and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to customs requirements and delivery timelines. 30%
• Direct commercial activities by strategically evaluating customer and affiliate demand, negotiating with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance. 10%
• Execute performance monitoring protocols to track shipment accuracy, on-time delivery metrics, and service level agreements, implementing corrective actions when deviations occur. 15%
• Oversee ordering and forecasting of raw materials and/or finished goods by issuing purchase orders and planning documentation, while managing inventories to ensure continuous delivery of finished products to customers and avoiding aged inventory. 15%
• Ensure order accuracy and forecast demand planning integrity by maintaining 100% alignment between customer forecasts and actual orders; recognizing the critical impact on financial performance, working capital management, and supplier production planning. 10%
• Contribute financial data for month-end reporting. Responsible for managing and avoiding aged account receivables. 10%
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies, leading root cause analysis for operational challenges, and driving cross-functional projects that enhance supply chain effectiveness. 10%
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the company from time to time in its sole discretion

• 2+ years of Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, Inventory, Buyer/Planner, or Logistics experience preferred
• Automotive industry experience is highly preferred
• Experience working with Japanese companies is preferred
• Strong understanding of Japanese business practices and corporate culture
• Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to analyze inventory, purchasing, and supply chain data
• Experience with ERP, inventory management, or purchasing systems is preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural business environment
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
