SummaryThe Assembly Technician / Finisher is responsible for performing final assembly and finishing operations on industrial screening products to ensure they meet quality, performance, and customer specifications. This role conducts detailed inspections, applies finishing assemblies, and verifies product quality prior to release, while following established work instructions, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
The Assembly Technician will be finishing the assembly for Specialty Filters, Screen Products, Vinyl Covers and hail protection products for the HVAC and cooling tower industry. The work is based on order to order production designs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform final assembly of specialty filters, screen products, vinyl covers, and hail protection products according to customer-specific designs and specifications.
- Apply finishing touches to products to ensure completeness, functionality, and aesthetic quality.
- Conduct detailed quality control inspections on finished products, verifying dimensions, integrity, and compliance with established standards.
- Identify and report any defects, inconsistencies, or material issues to supervisors or quality personnel.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation as required.
- Operate hand tools, assembly equipment, and other production aids safely and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S or plant standards.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including efficiency, quality, and process enhancements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Expert at using rulers / tape measures / saws / screw drivers / drills / grommet machines (Training will be provided as needed)
- Experience with vinyl materials including vinyl coated polyester mesh or similar.
- Detail oriented - speed and accuracy is important.
- Good work ethic and positive attitude.
- Must be able to stand and move around large work tables.
- Good time management and communication skills.
- Willing and able to work overtime and/or occasional weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas.
