Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern this summer will support the development and execution of marketing and brand activities for the Showa Performance business as the organization prepares for future market introduction. This role supports foundational brand building work including media organization, content preparation, market research, and early program development such as branded apparel and pre-launch marketing initiatives.

This position will work closely with internal teams including marketing, product, engineering, test, manufacturing, sales, and leadership, along with external agency partners, to support execution of marketing deliverables. The intern will gain hands on experience within the automotive performance aftermarket and off-road suspension market while contributing to real business initiatives that support long term brand growth.

Operate with strong organization, attention to detail, and urgency in a fast paced and evolving environment. Maintain brand consistency while supporting marketing execution needs. Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment and build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.

This position may require occasional field or event support. When not supporting events, this is primarily an onsite position with flexible work schedules.

• Support organization and maintenance of the Showa Performance media library including photos, video, and creative assets
• Assist with pre-launch marketing content development supporting future brand and product introduction activities
• Support competitor and market research within the performance aftermarket and off-road suspension space
• Assist with preparation of marketing materials for future product launches and events
• Support coordination with external agency partners on content and creative needs
• Assist with development and organization of the Showa Performance apparel program
• Support content preparation for social media, web, presentations, and internal marketing tools
• Assist with event marketing preparation including asset organization and post event content management
• Help maintain organized marketing file structures and asset naming standards
• Support basic creative updates and asset preparation using Adobe Illustrator
• Support internal documentation and presentation material preparation for cross functional teams

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Automotive Technology, or related field
• Strong interest in automotive performance aftermarket and off-road vehicles preferred
• Basic understanding of marketing principles and brand development
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Basic Adobe Illustrator experience preferred
• Must be highly detail oriented and organized, and able to apply work methods to maximize efficiency and minimize errors
• Must be a self starter that can be counted on to achieve goals on time and with minimal supervision
• Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly and apply them to daily work
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to work effectively and accurately amidst distractions
• Able to perform light physical work consistently and lift marketing or event materials occasionally
• Excellent work ethic and teamwork skills
• Hands on and self motivated
• Ability to support occasional travel or event support as needed
