Position Overview
New Sign‑on Bonus for Nights! $12,000 for full‑time; $6,000 for part‑time.
Unit SummaryThe Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 72‑bed unit dedicated to patient‑ and family‑centered care. The unit treats a wide variety of critically ill patients who require cardiac drips with titration, ventilated patients, and additional supportive care. Nurses, nursing assistants, and telemetry technicians work collaboratively to deliver high‑level care.
Scope of WorkAs a Registered Nurse (RN), you will apply the ANA scope of practice and the nursing process to provide professional nursing care. Your duties include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging patients under the direction of the Nurse Leader and in accordance with Corewell Health policies. You will partner with patients and families to develop care plans, implement teaching strategies, and document education and learning in the health record.
Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required within 5 years of graduation)
- NCLEX licensure (must pass)
- Graduate from a non‑accredited nursing school must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed health‑care role
- RN license in Michigan (required)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) (required upon hire)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required within 6 months)
- Specialty certification (highly recommended within 2 years)

Location & ScheduleFarmington Hills Hospital – 28050 Grand River Ave, Farmington Hills, MI. Night shift: 7:00p.m.–7:30a.m. with three 12‑hour shifts per week and every other weekend off.
