• Bachelor's‑prepared RN who demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in advanced IV access.
• Placing ultrasound‑guided PIV, PICC lines and extended dwell peripheral IV catheters.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, declotting, repositioning vascular access devices for all adult inpatient units.
• Performing weekly dressing changes and assisting staff with dressing changes.
• Acting as a resource to medical and nursing staff for vascular access device therapy, assessment, products and procedures.
• Monitoring quality metrics related to vascular access devices and participating in quality improvement activities.
• Keeping current on new advances in IV therapy and vascular access devices.
• Maintaining current knowledge of core measures and performing chart audits, monitoring and follow‑up with staff.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent (ACEN accredited diploma program) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Required Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., D.N.P./Ph.D.) – if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate with less than one year experience must sign an educational contract to complete BSN within specified time frame (one year to enroll, five years to complete).
• Minimum 2 years of related acute‑care clinical experience for external candidates; internal candidates with less than 2 years must be approved and remain unit‑based PRN until reaching 2 years of nursing experience.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) – State of Michigan.

• Certified Registered Nurse – State MI (mandatory).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or American Red Cross (mandatory).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA (preferred).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – ENA (mandatory for Endoscopy, Critical Care, Emergency Care, Radiology, Pre‑Op, PACU within 180 days).

Shift: Night. Weekly scheduled hours: 0.01 hours of work, variable days, Sunday to Saturday, variable weekends.
