Join Our Neuropsychiatric Practice
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically skilled
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with psychiatric experience
to join our established
neuropsychiatric practice in Farmington Hills, Michigan
.
We are open to
part-time or PRN/as-needed
arrangements and are willing to create a schedule that works well for the right candidate.
Our practice takes a
holistic, patient-centered approach
to care. We look at the whole person and consider the relationship between neurological, psychiatric, cognitive, emotional, medical, and lifestyle factors when developing a treatment plan.
The provider will work closely with the physician and initially
shadow the physician
to become familiar with our practice philosophy, clinical approach, patient population, and treatment protocols.
Over time, the provider will take on increasing responsibility for patient care and develop their
own patient caseload
.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing follow-up care after the physician's initial evaluation and intake.
- Managing ongoing psychiatric care and treatment plans.
- Providing medication management and prescription refills within the provider's scope of practice.
- Monitoring medication effectiveness, response, and potential side effects.
- Communicating and collaborating with the physician regarding patient care.
- Providing coverage for the physician when necessary.
- Developing and managing an individual patient panel.
- Establishing long‑term relationships with patients.
- Taking a holistic approach to patients with complex psychiatric, neurological, cognitive, behavioral, and medical needs.
- Coordinating care with other healthcare providers when appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Current Michigan NP or PA licensure.
- Psychiatric or behavioral health experience.
- Experience with psychiatric medication management preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and patient‑centered approach.
- An interest in holistic and integrative healthcare.
