This position exists to provide DBS with a dedicated resource focused on acquiring and growing relationships with new individual brokers, producer groups and national accounts, as well as expanding existing relationships. The Regional Sales Director will drive growth in the high‑performing territory covering Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan. The role is an independent contributor, with no direct reports, and requires travel within the assigned region about 40% of the time.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary of $75,000 plus overrides, with top performers capable of earning $250,000+ annually. The base salary offered will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis within the range of $64,000 to $75,000.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Implement key account strategies and processes with all accounts, including Gold Sheet, action plan, and strategic marketing plan.
- Develop existing broker/account relationships and manage recruiting for new broker/accounts.
- Regularly communicate account status to the DBS team, keeping them informed of pertinent issues, especially during onboarding.
- Continued development of industry, concepts, carrier, and product knowledge.
- Contribute to the overall success and profitability of the agency.
- Meet or exceed acquired and assigned account production goals.
- Past sales and relationship‑management experience in the life insurance industry.
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, or 63 required.
- College degree or other higher education preferred.
- Life and Health license.
- Leadership, organizational, and people skills; flexibility and team orientation.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region approximately 40–50% of the time.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Salesforce (or similar CRM), Concur, and other business/communications systems.
- Strong written and oral communication, planning, and prioritization skills.
- High focus on quality and customer satisfaction; ability to react positively to change.
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
- Commitment to providing complete, accurate, prompt, confidential, and courteous service to DBS customers.
