3rd Shift Corporate Security Specialist

Description Overview

The Perrigo Corporate Security Specialist (CSS) supports enterprise security risk management strategies by providing Physical Security, Loss Prevention, Emergency Management, and Crime Prevention services to mitigate liability, threats, risks, and vulnerabilities.

• Provide loss prevention and asset protection strategies (escorts, audits, inspections, deliveries, patrols) including DEA and FDA regulated materials
• Perform preventative maintenance for physical security equipment
• Prepare daily reports on events, accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide access control and investigative services to employees, contractors, and visitors
• Apply access control and asset protection related SOPs and policies
• Support Emergency and Crises Response and Desk Operations through the Global Security Operations and Communications Center (GSOCC)

• Serve as the face of the department with initiative, strong situational awareness, sound judgment, excellent communication, customer-service centric approach, ability to multitask, and solve complex problems

• High School Diploma or equivalent (prefer associate’s degree or higher)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in security, military, law enforcement/corrections, emergency services, or related fields (audits, inspections, product accountability, program management). 4-year degree or law enforcement academy training may substitute for experience.
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Relevant certifications preferred (systems/software, audits, investigations, accountability, project management, research, interpersonal)
• Valid state driver’s license required
• Must be able to read and follow detailed procedures
