Staff Accountant
Pay Rate: $80,000 - $90,000 per year (DOE)

Monday - Friday (onsite; flexibility required)
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join a manufacturing finance team supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role will have a strong focus on Accounts Payable while providing support across general accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Job Responsibilities- Record daily financial transactions accurately within the accounting system.
- Manage Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, review, and reconciliation activities.
- Support Accounts Receivable activities as needed.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Perform weekly and month-end close activities to support timely financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, including AP accruals, payroll entries, and expense reclassifications.
- Assist with financial reporting and preparation of financial statements.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation and records.
- Support audit preparation activities and provide required financial documentation.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding financial data and accounting records.
- Assist with ERP system transactions and maintain accurate system data.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and logistics teams to support accounting operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and GAAP principles.
- Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Approximately 10 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and GAAP.
- Experience with Accounts Payable and general ledger functions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite and adapt to changing business needs.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing accounting processes.
- Exposure to cost accounting principles.
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Familiarity with inventory concepts, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Experience identifying and implementing accounting process improvements.
