Farmington Public Schools is seeking a Clerk II School & Student Services for the Special Services Department. This position works out of the Special Services Department located in Central Office in the high school complex. Position is 7 hours per day, school year plus 10 days before and 10 days after the school year. Benefits include a high‑deductible health plan, life insurance, pension.
PTO includes 12 sick days, 3 personal days and 8 paid holidays.
- Minimum of an Associates degree required
- Candidate should demonstrate ability to type at 50 words per minute.
- Candidate should be proficient with basic technology with the ability to work on Web based applications and Google Workspace
- Candidate should demonstrate ability to maintain computerized student data system.
- Candidate should demonstrate ability to file in both alphabetic and numeric filing system
- Candidate should demonstrate ability to operate computer, calculator, copying equipment, and other related office equipment.
- Candidate should demonstrate ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and other computer programs.
- Candidate should demonstrate ability to maintain cooperative working relationship with office personnel, staff and students.
The Clerk II provides clerical support services to maintain workflow in the office assigned. This service includes processing of assignments requiring a steady pace to complete the daily work schedule, with limited supervision. The Clerk II must interpret and comply with established policy and procedure to complete certain job functions and process data to provide information required to complete assignments.
GeneralDuties & Responsibilities
- Types or input prepared data, at required speed, interpreting, revising and analyzing copy or data, under limited supervision.
- Organizes files and information systems required for a smooth office function.
- Operates a calculator, copying equipment and other assigned equipment required to complete assignments and/or operates data entry equipment.
- Prepares and processes correspondence, communications or data, routine in nature.
- Handles basic telephone routine for the office with limited supervision, responding to inquiries.
- Performs related duties, as assigned by the supervisor.
- Input information into Powerschool for state tracking of SIT, SpEd, ELL, 504.
- Assist data monitoring of CTSEDS and IEP documents to ensure compliance with state legal regulations and timelines.

- Maintain all confidential special education records/files making sure all time sensitive data and materials are maintained following state guidelines.
- Coordinate scheduling and records for Independent Educational Evaluations.
- Assist scheduling of PPT's, when/where it is needed.
- Assist with the facilitation of Special Transportation including McKinney Vento needs.
- Assist with the maintenance of office spreadsheets and office records.
$25.59 - $29.76 per hour (FPSEU contract) depending upon experience.
Schedule8:30 am - 4:00 pm (less 30 minute unpaid lunch) per school calendar plus 10 days before and 10 days after student school days.
