OverviewThe Farmington Public School District is looking for a Monitor for Farmington High School.
Responsibilities- Maintain student order in assigned areas.
- Prepare reports, as required.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Maintain all visitor policies and procedures.
- Monitor buildings and grounds to ensure a safe and secure school environment.
- Enforce student parking regulations and monitor designated parking areas for safety and security.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate with visitors, students and all members of the school community.
- Demonstrate respect for students, visitors and all members of the school community.
- Make sound judgments and have good problem solving skills.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Candidate should hold a high school diploma or college level degree.
- Candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate with students while maintaining order with large student groups.
- Consideration will be given to the following:
- References that indicate the candidate possesses the skills required for this position.
- Ability to control order with groups of students.
- Ability to control order with visitors to the school building and follow all visitor sign in policies and procedures.
- Ability to follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Ability to present a respectful demeanor to school community members and visitors.
- Ability to make sound judgment.
- Maintain student order in assigned areas.

Reports To: School Principal or Assigned Staff Member
ScheduleSchedule: 8.0 hours per day, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (½ hour unpaid lunch), school year
SalarySalary: $20.41 – $24.63 per hour, depending on experience
