Overview

The Farmington Public School District is looking for a Monitor for Farmington High School.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain student order in assigned areas.
  • Prepare reports, as required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Maintain all visitor policies and procedures.
  • Monitor buildings and grounds to ensure a safe and secure school environment.
  • Enforce student parking regulations and monitor designated parking areas for safety and security.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate with visitors, students and all members of the school community.
  • Demonstrate respect for students, visitors and all members of the school community.
  • Make sound judgments and have good problem solving skills.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Candidate should hold a high school diploma or college level degree.
  • Candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate with students while maintaining order with large student groups.
  • Consideration will be given to the following:
    • References that indicate the candidate possesses the skills required for this position.
    • Ability to control order with groups of students.
    • Ability to control order with visitors to the school building and follow all visitor sign in policies and procedures.
    • Ability to follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
    • Ability to present a respectful demeanor to school community members and visitors.
    • Ability to make sound judgment.
  • Maintain student order in assigned areas.

Reports To

Reports To: School Principal or Assigned Staff Member

Schedule

Schedule: 8.0 hours per day, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (½ hour unpaid lunch), school year

Salary

Salary: $20.41 – $24.63 per hour, depending on experience

Starting Date: Immediately
