. Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM) is a well-established, fast-growing, independent, registered investment advisory firm.

Our organization is looking for an entry-level Analyst to service our clients by supporting the management of our clients’ comprehensive financial plans. Analysts provide support to Senior Financial Advisors and are typically responsible for data gathering, financial planning software input, analyzing data and modeling various scenarios, and supporting the development of the financial plan. Analysts work towards the opportunity to work directly with clients by building their technical knowledge and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate agendas, reports, and paperwork for client meetings in a timely manner. Draft meeting summary letters or client communication for review by senior team members.
  • Complete assigned client tasks.
  • Collect & input financial planning data into systems accurately and run appropriate reports.
  • Rebalance investment portfolios and execute accurate trades in investment accounts under the direction of senior team member.
  • Develop an understanding of client goals, needs, and priorities.
  • Interact with clients and build positive professional relationships through telephone calls, email, and at firm events.
  • Develop technical knowledge and ability to speak about basic financial concepts and client needs.
  • Acquire knowledge of investments, insurance, income taxes, estate planning & financial planning concepts with the support of firm training, personal development, and support from firm mentors/senior staff.
  • Become familiar with and follow the firm’s client planning curriculum and service standards.
  • Work with a team effectively, keeping teammates apprised of progress and proactively communicating concerns. Enthusiastically support the needs of the team and the firm.
  • Show thorough attention to detail and assertiveness to ensure projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Proactively seek mentorship. Ask relevant and thorough questions of mentors and team members to grow personally and professionally.
  • Participate actively in performance reviews reflecting accurately on performance and growth. Respond to feedback respectfully and make efforts to grow and improve.
  • Operate in a manner that is consistent with the firm’s values of Collaboration, Integrity, Authenticity, Empathy, Supportiveness, Competency, Positivity, and Drive/Grit.
Additional Expectations:
  • Participate in training opportunities both internally and from online courses and/or local conferences.
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of the firm’s services and target client to begin understanding business development skills.
  • Develop relationships with other professionals like local attorneys or accountants.
  • Develop understanding of the firm’s compliance rules and procedures.
  • Become proficient in usage of firm’s core technologies: CRM, planning software, custodian software, and other client tools.
  • Set a positive example in balancing professional responsibilities with personal life. Be available to clients outside of normal working hours for extraordinary circumstances.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Willingness to attain Series 65 license within 3 months of employment.
  • Demonstrate desire for or future progress towards CFP or PFS.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment, with aspirations for more than baseline expectations and satisfaction.
  • Coach-ability; receive and implement feedback with a desire for continued professional development.
  • Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills.
