Surgical Services Scheduler - Urology

Hartford Healthcare -  - Responsibilities:
Schedule hospital-based procedures/surgeries in accordance with physician orders and insurance requirements;
Ensure all necessary paperwork and required tests needed prior to surgery are accurately completed, and clearly communicated pre- and post-surgery instructions to patients;
Reconcile dropped charges to ensure they match authorized procedures and escalate to appropriate parties, if necessary;
Maintain resources, including insurance portal access, and provides consistent documentation in EPIC to support the obtained insurance authorization;
Communicates changes in payer and or federal regulatory guidelines to their manager, pharmacy staff, providers and other clinical departments, as applicable. Travel to regional offices required, as needed
