Job Description OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Workday Configuration Consultant to support ongoing enhancements and operational needs across Workday Recruiting. This role will partner closely with HR, Recruiting, and HR technology teams to configure, optimize, and maintain Workday solutions aligned with business priorities. This is a hands‑on configuration role requiring strong functional expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and maintain Workday Recruiting modules, including business processes, and security roles
- Partner with HR and Recruiting stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations
- Support enhancements, optimization initiatives, and issue resolution across HCM and Recruiting
- Lead or support testing activities (unit, system, and UAT) for configuration changes
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution or recommendations
- Ensure data integrity and adherence to Workday best practices
- Document configurations, processes, and changes for weekly release, audit and knowledge transfer purposes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HRIS, DT, and external partners as needed
- Provide guidance on Workday capabilities and recommend improvements
- 35+ years of hands‑on Workday configuration experience
- Recruiting module
- Core HCM
- Business Process Framework
- Security configuration
- Calculated fields
- Reporting
- Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical configurations
- Experience supporting Workday enhancements and production support
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Working in a global Workday environment for large companies
- Prior experience in HR transformation or system optimization initiatives
- Project Management, Writing Standard Operating Procedures, Facilitating testing sessions including Workday demonstrations (creating PowerPoint presentations)
- Familiarity with Workday releases and feature adoption
- Workday certification(s)
- Workday VNDLY, Paradox
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Proactive approach to identifying improvements and solutions
