Under the supervision of the Director of Finance and Operations, this position provides hardware, software, network communications, computer support, documentation, and consultation to the organization, on resolutions and services related to computing and information technology. The position requires a level of independence, flexibility, and troubleshooting skills.

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and training, and one or more years of experience in customer service, computer technical support, computer consulting and/or computer operations.
• Aptitude for and willingness to develop skills in teaching, good communication ability, and excellent writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with people, to handle technical problems, and to follow complex plans and strategies in a high energy, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve challenging situations.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 40lbs unassisted on a consistent basis.

• Experience with Mac and Chrome environments.
• Experience with enterprise level network support (wired and wireless).
• Experience with repair of Chromebooks

SALARY: $50,000-$55,000 (depending upon experience);

• Analyzes and diagnoses computer software, hardware and communications network problems for faculty, staff, students and other computer users. Recommends corrective solutions for a wide-range of computer applications, hardware, network, communications technology and software programs.
• Installs, locates and corrects program errors, tests, tracks and monitors a wide range of commercially available software and hardware for midrange, minicomputer or microcomputer technology as required for assignment. Requires the application of a wide range of knowledge of operating systems, server technologies, server integration, hardware, network and software programs.
• Prepares hard copy and on-line documentation to improve user knowledge and correct usage of computing and information technology computing facilities, applications and resources
• Assists in the facilitation of computer usage by the faculty, students, and staff through a wide variety of means that may include surveys, newsletters, web pages, attendance at meetings, exhibitions, conferences, and district events. Orients and enables faculty to the use of the computer labs, computing resources and teaching facilities (i.e., classroom tools and Virtual Classroom).
• Maintains and administers lab and classroom procedures, computing accounts, supplies inventories, handbooks and policies. May assist with work schedules of student consultants.
• Maintains routine security of computing hardware and software and cleanliness of computing hardware and facilities.
• Records, tracks, troubleshoots, surveys and reports on the computer problems.
• Prepares and maintains logs, reports and statistical data.
• Initiates repairs of hardware, software, networks and/or other equipment and computing peripherals. Works with other areas as necessary to elevate and/or resolve problems and tracks to ensure solutions.
• Assists with the development of plans and processes that ensure minimum risk to services or systems due to errors.
• Acts as liaison between users, computer operations and technical programming groups as required.
• Stays current with technology changes and integrates software and hardware into the university where applicable and when appropriate.
