OverviewOtis Elevator Company seeks a highly motivated New Equipment Field Operations Manager to drive productivity and performance of new equipment projects for the Farmington Hills, MI operating area.
Responsibilities- Direct, supervise, and lead field operations for new equipment installation.
- Supervise construction mechanics and installation teams.
- Achieve financial performance targets including profit and working capital.
- Conduct field education training, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Perform field safety audits, jobsite inspections, and develop safety/logistics plans.
- Coordinate material deliveries and issue purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with co-workers, field employees, clients, and authorities.
- Forecast and schedule labor resources to ensure project completion, maintain customer quality assurance, and improve efficiencies.
- Analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates.
- Administer contract writing, manage billing, consultant and contractor payments, process RFIs, and optimize change order opportunities to maximize cash coverage.
- 5+ years of elevator industry experience or leading field level associates/technicians in a similar industry.
- Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft software.
- Strong leadership, goal‑oriented, decisive, time‑management, and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
