You will set the strategic direction for the Planning & Scheduling team, establish performance expectations, and partner closely with manufacturing leadership, supply chain, and cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency, improve on-time delivery, and continuously enhance scheduling processes through automation and standardization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Planning & Scheduling specialists responsible for receiving, scheduling, and committing daily customer and inter-company orders.
  • Own production scheduling across multiple mixed-model, make-to-order value streams to level-load weekly requirements.
  • Ensure weekly plant schedules align with dedicated trucking and logistics plans to meet delivery commitments.
  • Identify scheduling constraints and partner with plant leadership to mitigate customer impact.
  • Manage customer change requests, including order changes, cancellations, and expedites.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish lead times and secure customer approvals for custom finished materials.
  • Conduct regular lead-time analysis and publish updated lead times weekly.
  • Analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, backlog, and schedule adherence.
  • Facilitate demand planning and S&OP discussions, translating demand into operational capacity plans and supplier forecasts while identifying production risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual processes and increase automation within planning and scheduling.
  • Document, standardize, and maintain scheduling processes and procedures.
  • Train and coach teams on master production scheduling best practices.
  • Proactively identify issues, develop solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience leading production planning and scheduling processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing and scheduling principles.
  • Proven people leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and lead teams.
  • Strong ERP proficiency;
    Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Action-oriented, solution-driven mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions, locations, and organizational levels.
  • High adaptability and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated creativity and a continuous improvement mindset aligned with organizational values.
