CNC Machinist; -Parts | 2nd Shift

CNC Machinist (Large-Parts)

Our client is looking for a responsible CNC Machinist (large parts). This is a contract to permanent / direct placement position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent as well as 2-3 years of experience with CNC lathe / turning, CNC Swiss.

Principle duties

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers.
• Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot controllers / machines / processes.
• Work from blueprint requirements.
• Select tools, set feeds and speeds.
• Perform inspection of machined parts using precision hand tools.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Operates overhead cranes for large-part manufacturing.
• Maintains a clean work environment and shop floor (tools, equipment, machines, etc.).
• Re-orders tools as needed.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience with CNC milling, CNC lathe / turning, CNC Swiss.
• High school diploma or GED or vocational school training.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Perform inspection of machined parts using precision hand tools.
