- Farmington, CTMinimum 3 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker Venteon is currently seeking a Tool & Die Maker to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Farmington, CTRequirements of the Tool & Die Maker Minimum 5 years experience in the Set-up Trouble shooting, Component Fabrication and Production of progressive, compound, four slide and secondary tooling.

CT approved (apprenticeship completed) journeyperson preferred

Ability to read - understand blue prints and GD&T as needed for production manufacturing.

Working knowledge and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in production environments. Progressive stamping background required

Working knowledge of ISO quality standards and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in a production environment.

Familiar with Medical and Aerospace (ISO
13485 & AS9100) working environments.

An understanding of Manufacturing Engineering
- Quality Engineering
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.)Familiar with principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.

Experience with production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing methods.

Self starter with strong work ethic / production oriented.

Ability to lift up to 35lbs unassisted

Advanced Machine repair.

Sets-up and operates standard machine tools and other machinery to close tolerances in manufacturing machine parts.

Fabricate fixtures gages as required.

Meets with other personnel regarding instruction, in the design, maintenance or repair of machinery and equipment to assure quality standard.

Operates forklift trucks and other material devices in the movement of heavy machinery.

Performs Lock out/Tag out safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.

Maintains required records.

Assist with production tooling if required
