Family owned and managed, they partner closely with customers from early prototyping through full-volume production, and are known for taking on complex, precision-driven work that requires real technical expertise.

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Machine Set-Up Operator to join their manufacturing team. You'll set up, adjust, and operate precision machinery to manufacture a wide variety of parts to exacting quality standards, with a clear path to growth built into the role. New operators start with guided support, build toward working independently, and experienced operators go on to train others.

This is a great fit for someone who takes pride in precision work, enjoys hands‑on problem solving with machinery, and wants to build a long‑term career with a stable, established manufacturer.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up, adjust, and operate departmental machinery to produce parts to spec
  • Keep machinery running smoothly and make minor repairs to machine tools as needed
  • Swap out old tooling and install new tooling
  • Use gauges (such as plug gauges) to check parts against quality standards
  • Read and work from blueprints
  • Follow safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards
  • Suggest process improvements as you learn the operation
  • As you grow into the role, help train and support other team members
Requirements:
  • High school or trade school diploma, or equivalent hands‑on experience
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Comfort working with precision gauges
Physical requirements:

Corrected vision sufficient to read prints and closely inspect parts; manual dexterity for precision machine work; ability to stoop and bend frequently; ability to move parts between positions; ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.

Why Join This Company
  • Stable, direct-hire position with a family‑owned company with decades in business
  • Work on components that support medical, defense, and aerospace applications
  • Built-in growth path - advance from guided support to full independence to training others
