Key Responsibilities
- Set up of various (single level) compaction presses
- Running and monitoring of 3‑Ton presses; in‑process inspection and adjustment, tray loading, furnace operation, and monitoring powder levels
- Perform first‑piece, in‑process and final inspection steps including visual sorting, flow testing, length, OD, burr, etc.
- Meeting tight production requirements across long‑running production and reacting in real time to stay within the requirements
- Ability to switch between the 2 roles/pitches in the cell on a daily basis
- Embrace a value‑stream approach; execute the entire process from setup through pressing and inspection
Consistently meet production targets, ensure product quality through rigorous inspection, and maintain operational safety standards.
Required Experience- Ability to set up and run compaction presses
- Perform 2–3 set‑ups per shift when necessary
- Operate multiple presses or inspection equipment simultaneously
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous press‑setup experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of tools and gauges
- Blueprint reading
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent mathematical aptitude
- Curiosity mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
The compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 – $72,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan.
