Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an outpatient oncology clinic position at a cancer center in Connecticut, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, prior travel experience, and an ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider certification.

• Outpatient clinic setting within a medical oncology and hematology oncology coverage pool
• 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No weekend, on-call, or major holiday requirements
• Position works closely with the chemotherapy infusion room nursing team but does not directly administer infusion therapies
• 13-week assignment
• Responsibilities include phone call triage and coordinating with the clinical team to address patient care needs
• Must be comfortable working in a team-based environment alongside nursing staff in a busy oncology clinic
• Exposure to communicable/infectious diseases is possible in this role
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• May be required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis to support unit coverage

• Active CT RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ONS Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Provider Card required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with oncology patients in an outpatient ambulatory care or outpatient clinic setting required
• Ability to lift and restrain patients as needed
• Strong phone triage and clinical problem-solving skills
