Required Qualifications – ICU RN / Critical Care RN
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or compact state (CT nursing license or multistate)
  • Minimum 2 years recent ICU and/or Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience in acute care
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and BLS certifications
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, current
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred (clinical documentation/acute care charting)
  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Responsibilities – Critical Care & Emergency Nursing
  • Float across ICU, Intermediate Unit, and Emergency Department to provide high-quality critical care nursing
  • Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients; respond rapidly to clinical emergencies
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced monitoring as indicated for ICU/ED patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in EPIC EMR and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, safety, and discharge instructions when appropriate
