Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an outpatient oncology clinic position at a cancer center in Connecticut, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, prior travel experience, and an ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider certification.

Job Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within a medical oncology and hematology oncology coverage pool,

• 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM,

• No weekend, on-call, or major holiday requirements,

• Position works closely with the chemotherapy infusion room nursing team but does not directly administer infusion therapies,

• 13-week assignment,

Job Requirements

• Active CT RN license or Compact RN license required,

• Current BLS certification required,

• ONS Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Provider Card required,

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required,

• Prior travel nursing experience required,

• Experience with oncology patients in an outpatient ambulatory care or outpatient clinic setting required,

• Ability to lift and restrain patients as needed,

• Strong phone triage and clinical problem-solving skills,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include phone call triage and coordinating with the clinical team to address patient care needs,

• Must be comfortable working in a team-based environment alongside nursing staff in a busy oncology clinic,

• Exposure to communicable/infectious diseases is possible in this role,

• May be required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis to support unit coverage,
