Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Experienced OR RN sought to provide specialized circulating and scrub support for orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgeries. Must demonstrate independence in surgical procedures and possess strong technical skills to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and circulate during complex surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and procedural protocols.
• Perform scrub duties, especially in neuro, spine, and orthopedic cases, including utilization of robotic systems such as DiVinci.
• Verify surgical equipment, supplies, and implants are available and functioning properly.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate smooth and efficient operative procedures.
• Maintain patient safety standards and monitor intraoperative conditions throughout procedures.
• Document all surgical activities accurately and thoroughly in medical records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license with 4-5 years of OR experience or a combined total of similar surgical experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in circulating during orthopedic, neuro, and spine surgeries.
• Preferred experience in scrubbing, especially with neuro, spine, vascular, and orthopedic procedures.
• Comfortable working with DiVinci robotic surgical systems.
• Able to work variable shifts, including on-call rotations, weekends, and holidays.
• Capable of float assignments within a 30-mile radius, maintaining clinical competency.
