Oncology Nurse
Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting, ensuring efficient treatment delivery and compassionate patient interactions. Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient needs and administer safe, high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and provide nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient clinic environment.
- Answer phone triages and resolve patient concerns in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist with patient preparation and support for chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.
- Uphold infection control protocols and safety procedures within the clinic.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to stay current with oncology best practices.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid CT license or compact license at the time of submission.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including prior travel assignments.
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience working with oncology patients.
- Hold an ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider card (preferred).
- Be able to lift, restrain patients, and work in environments with exposure to infectious diseases and potential client aggression.
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
