Registered Nurse – Oncology

Oncology Registered Nurse Opportunity

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide specialized oncology care for an upcoming 13-16 week assignment. This role involves night shifts, holiday work, and requires experience with chemotherapy and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Perform telemetry assessments and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide IV therapy and ensure proper insertion, maintenance, and removal of IVs.
• Document patient care activities accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards, including holiday and overtime coverage.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CT license or compact license at the time of application.
• Possess chemotherapy and telemetry experience; OCN preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and IV skills.
• Be able to work 12-hour night shifts and every third weekend.
• Have prior experience in oncology nursing preferred.
• Must be able to work within a 75-mile radius for local candidates.
