Registered Nurse CVOR

Job Summary:

The CVOR RN is responsible for providing specialized perioperative nursing care in cardiovascular operating rooms. The role involves circulating and scrubbing during complex surgical procedures, with a need for versatility across various specialties.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement preoperative nursing care for CVOR patients.
• Circulate and scrub during cardiovascular, neuro, spine, and orthopedic surgeries, demonstrating independence and clinical expertise.
• Ensure sterile techniques and adherence to safety protocols throughout all phases of surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate efficient case management and patient safety.
• Document all relevant patient information and surgical details accurately and promptly.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, vaccination, and hospital policy requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and provide a current NURSYS report.
• Possess 4-5 years of OR RN or combined OR experience, with circulating experience required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgeries independently.
• Be versatile and capable of working in various surgical specialties.
• Be willing to work rotating shifts, on-call duties, weekends, and holidays.
• Commit to maintaining necessary certifications and vaccinations, including COVID and flu vaccines.
