Food Service Worker​/Cashier; Part Time

We are hiring immediately for part‑time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions at Farmington Public Schools, 14 Monteith Drive, Farmington, CT 06032. Only online applications are accepted. The schedule is Monday‑through‑Friday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Fixed pay rate: $16.95 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available.

Performs cashiering duties, including general food service work, and maintains sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas.

• Prepare food: wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Transport food and supplies between stations, stove, and refrigerator following safety standards.
• Store foods according to wrapping, dating, and food safety rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Use approved recipes and production standards to achieve proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner and resolve complaints.
• Relate relevant information to supervisor.
• Perform sales transactions: enter sales, give change, accept card or other payment, issue receipts.
• Follow procedures for cash refunds and maintain cash drawer compliance.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while keeping service area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Prior food service experience preferred.
