Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Heating and Air Conditioning Technician role based in Farmington, CT. The technician will install, maintain and repair heating and air conditioning systems, including troubleshooting mechanical and hvac related electrical issues. Daily responsibilities include performing diagnostic checks, conducting preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. The role also involves communicating clearly with customers, documenting work performed, following company and regulatory safety standards and collaborating with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications
  • Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting and diagnostic work on HVAC systems.
  • Foundational Plumbing skills related to HVAC installations, condensate drainage and system connections.
  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, filter changes and performance checks.
  • Knowledge of Electricity and electrical components in HVAC systems, including safe handling and basic wiring practices.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC safety procedures, local codes and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and work orders.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Capacity to work independently, manage time effectively and adapt to varying job sites and conditions.
  • Current S2 or D2 State of CT license, as well as valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.
  • EPA certification is required.
