Job Description Symetra has an exciting new opportunity to join our Technical and Operations team as a
** Sr. Software Engineer
** supporting our Individual Life Insurance Division.
** About the role
** We are looking for an experienced individual to join a team of software developers in support of our primary life insurance policy administration system. That system – Cyber Life - is a legacy mainframe application that administers the large majority of our life insurance business.  We have a very experienced staff of developers, but need additional capacity to develop new products, expand our capabilities, and move us toward a more digital, real-time processing system.
** What you will do
*** Participate in daily Agile/Kanban ceremonies
* Assess new requirements to provide high-level estimates
* Design and document system integrations and coding enhancements
* Develop secure, performant code following team best practices
* Execute unit testing and Support integration, acceptance and regression testing
* Coordinate the movement of code between our various technical environments
* Support resolution of critical production support issues
* Participate in design and code reviews
* Mentor team members as necessary providing subject matter expertise
* Building and maintaining APIs to expose real-time data.

** Compensation
* * Salary Range: $106,400 - $177,300 plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program.
** Who You Are:
*** You have a high school diploma (required), plus a BA/BS in a related field preferred.
* Experienced with Cyber Life, Life
70, or a similar mainframe-based policy administration system
