Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $19.00–$20.00/hr | Weekly Pay Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00AM – 3:30PM | Full-Time

What's a typical day as Material Handler? You'll be:
- Serving as a backup truck driver, transporting materials between campus buildings and local warehouse locations using a box truck (no CDL required).
- Supporting receiving operations by unloading trucks and containers, and organizing incoming shipments.
- Managing material flow from receiving to production areas using transport carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
- Recording inventory transactions in SAP using a PC or barcode scanner.
- Implementing 5S workplace organization practices in storage areas.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and workplace organization, and assisting with shipping/receiving coordination.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a valid Connecticut driver's license (required).
- Are able to pass a DOT physical and motor vehicle screen, and become certified to drive a box truck.
- Have experience with computerized shipping, SAP, or similar inventory systems (preferred).
- Are capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience driving a 20,000 lbs. truck is preferred.
