Driver / Receiver – Mott Corporation (Farmington, CT)
Mott Corporation, a global leader in advanced filtration and flow control solutions, is hiring a dependable, safety‑minded Driver / Receiver to support our Operations team in Farmington, CT. The role blends local driving with hands‑on shipping/receiving and warehouse support, offering variety, stability, and a strong team environment.
About the RoleThe Driver / Receiver supports the timely movement of materials that keep production running. Responsibilities include safe, on‑time pickups and deliveries between Mott facilities and local suppliers, accurate receiving of inbound shipments, and day‑to‑day warehouse activities such as staging, stocking, and inventory support.
Key Responsibilities- Operate company vehicles safely and professionally to complete scheduled local pickups and deliveries between Mott sites and vendors.
- Plan efficient routes, verify pickup/delivery requirements, and communicate delays or issues to the appropriate team members.
- Load, secure, and unload materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material‑handling equipment while preventing damage.
- Receive inbound shipments: confirm part numbers/quantities, inspect for damage, and match deliveries to packing slips and purchase documentation.
- Accurately process receipts, transfers, and inventory transactions in accordance with company procedures, including paperwork and/or system entries.
- Stage material for production and outbound shipments, including labeling, organizing, and prioritizing based on work schedules.
- Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and location control; report discrepancies and assist with resolution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all PPE, forklift, and vehicle safety requirements.
- Work cross‑functionally with Receiving, Shipping, Purchasing, and Production to ensure smooth material flow and timely problem solving.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to meet company driving requirements.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or local delivery driving (manufacturing environment a plus).
- Comfortable performing physical tasks throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking, and frequent bending/reaching.
- Forklift experience preferred; certification can be provided if needed.
- Strong attention to detail when verifying quantities, part numbers, and paperwork.
- Dependable and punctual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and transaction entry; ERP/WMS experience helpful but not required.

ScheduleOn Site, Monday–Friday 7:30 – 4:30
CompensationStarting compensation for this position is $25.00 per hour. The position may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan.
