Job Goal(s): Under the general supervision of the school Principal, facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills by implementing district‑approved curriculum, documenting teaching and student progress, addressing specific educational needs, creating a flexible and safe learning environment, and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.
Qualifications- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, including differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
- Knowledge of inclusion and ability to co‑teach/collaborate with subject‑area teachers to provide specialized curriculum for students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis, and formulation of action plans.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
- Ability to use computer network systems and software applications.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to engage in self‑evaluation for professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

- Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small‑group instruction.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, translating them into learning experiences that develop sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize instructional time.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modify instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Pursue professional development by attending seminars, workshops, or research activities.
- Maintain accurate records for grading, reporting, and compliance with district procedures and laws.
- Encourage parental involvement and maintain effective communication with students and parents.
- Ensure student conduct conforms to school policies and establish standards of behavior for a functional learning atmosphere.
- Coordinate with other staff, especially within grade level, and participate in faculty meetings and committees.
- Select and requisition appropriate instructional supplies, maintaining inventory records.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to the teaching assignment.
- Master’s degree in a related area preferred.
- Successful prior teaching experience in the appropriate subject areas preferred.
FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: $42,864 Per Year
