Goal(s):
We seek a classroom instructor to prepare students to take the written permit test to become Class B Commercial Drivers. This is a per diem part-time position. Flexible based upon the qualified teachers schedule.

Qualifications

• Driver education instructor license
• 22 years of age and has a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Clean driving record

Certifications

• Maine DOE Certification (Background Check) or ability to obtain CHRC
• Valid license

Performance Responsibilities

• There are many other requirements but if the aforementioned requirements are met, we would like to speak with you.
• If the applicant does not currently have their driver education instructor license but meets all the other requirements we would consider training the right candidate.
• A list of the full requirements as mandated by the State of Maine can be emailed upon request.
• The driving instruction will be done in tandem with CMCC on their Auburn campus.

Experience

• 6 years of driving experience as a licensed CDL Class A or B operator

Working Schedule

• Per diem based on the qualified individual's schedule.

Reports To:

Director of Franklin County Adult Education

Terms of Employment:
As determined annually by the District.

Evaluation:
Completed annually by Director or designee

FLSA Status:
Non-exempt
