We are seeking an experienced Residential Loan Closer to support our lending team by ensuring all residential real estate loans are closed according to loan approval and the Bank’s policy requirements. The Loan Closer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating all documentation necessary to close residential mortgage loans in compliance with investor, regulatory, and company guidelines while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

This role works closely with lenders, processors, underwriters, real estate agencies, attorneys, title companies, and borrowers to ensure accurate, timely, and smooth loan closings.

• Prepare, review, and finalize closing documents for residential mortgage loans, including purchase and refinance transactions (conventional and portfolio loans).
• Coordinate loan closings with borrowers, title companies, lenders and internal teams to ensure timely execution.
• Prepare, review, and balance closing disclosures and settlement statements in accordance with TRID requirements.
• Review loan files to confirm all prior-to-closing conditions and approval requirements have been satisfied.
• Ensure all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and consistent with approved terms prior to closing.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and applicable federal and state regulations including TRID and RESPA
• Identify and resolve documentation and closing issues in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Collaborate with borrowers, title companies, lenders, and other internal teams to resolve issues and meet closing timelines.
• Maintain complete and organized loan files in accordance with record retention and audit standards.
• Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers throughout the closing process.

• 2-5 years of experience in loan closing or mortgage lending
• Strong knowledge of mortgage closing documents and lending regulations
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass) and standard office software
• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
