Maine Health Franklin Hospital is seeking a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to care for patients in the hospital at Maine Health Franklin Hospital in Farmington, Maine. The role includes evaluating and treating patients primarily on the hospital medicine ward, completing admissions, and providing consultative services to various sub-specialties, including the emergency department. The APP will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, care management, and ancillary services to ensure optimal patient care.
A supportive team-based atmosphere provides a setting for practitioners to grow their skills by caring for a complex patient population. The position is full-time with a variable, request‑based schedule and includes weekend and holiday shifts.

Scheduled hours
: 10‑hour shifts; daytime shifts (7 am to 5 pm) with potential for swing shifts (9 am to 7 pm); part‑time and full‑time opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in hospital medicine preferred, not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively triage, organize, and prioritize.
- Ability to function as part of a team.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Collaborative, team approach to patient care.
- Well‑appointed 25‑bed critical access hospital; a member of the largest health system in Northern New England.
- Fully integrated Epic EMR.
- Full time or part time, day/evening shift schedule.
