Sandy River Center, a Genesis Health Care skilled nursing and rehab facility in Farmington, ME, is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our resident-centered team. In this role, you will provide hands-on support with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meals, while promoting dignity, comfort, and safety. CNAs collaborate closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary team, monitor and report changes in residents' conditions, and follow individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resident-centered assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Measure and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
  • Assist residents with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning, using lifts and devices as required.
  • Support residents with meals, hydration, and basic nutritional needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment following infection control and safety protocols.
  • Accurately document care and observations in accordance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, therapists, and other team members to support care plans.
  • Offer respectful, compassionate communication and emotional support to residents and families.
  • Participate in training, in-services, and quality initiatives to improve resident outcomes.
  • Follow all regulatory, facility, and safety guidelines to protect residents and staff.
