Facilities Maintenance Manager, Licensed Master Electrician
Farmington, ME
At Walmart, we are seeking a licensed master electrician to lead our facilities maintenance operations for a regional area. The role involves overseeing predictive and preventative maintenance, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring buildings operate efficiently, sustainably, and safely for associates and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute maintenance operations, including preventive and corrective work.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians.
- Collaborate with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on facility needs.
- Work with vendors, contractors, and suppliers as required.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor compliance and quality standards.
- Obtain and secure permits and schedules inspections per mechanical or building codes.
- Maintain up-to-date contractor licenses and certifications.
- Provide reporting and analytics on maintenance performance.
- 3–5 years of general facilities services/building maintenance experience.
- Solid knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Leadership skills: ability to lead, motivate, and develop others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem‑solving skills, including root‑cause and breakdown analysis.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- PMP Certification.
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
- Current Maine Master Electrician license in good standing.
- Maintain mechanical contractor licenses in the state of employment.
- Licensed Master Electrician.
- 5 years of experience in facilities, construction, electrical maintenance, or related area, or 3 years with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Master Electrician License or equivalent in the state of employment.
- Experience with building controls.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams.
- External work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory experience.
- Type I and Type II EPA certfication for refrigerant handling.
Annual salary range: $90,000 – $180,000. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and, for certain positions, stock options.
