Life Enrichment Advancing People (LEAP) is a private nonprofit supporting people with developmental, cognitive, and intellectual disabilities. LEAP provides small group and individualized residential services, adult case management, and training services, aiming to empower individuals to lead joyful, independent lives.
A Typical Day in the Life of a Direct Support Professional (DSP)- Supervise and assist supported individuals in activities that enhance independence, including community and social activities.
- Assist with care of homes and personal possessions; perform housekeeping tasks when directed; report unsafe conditions.
- General housekeeping, snow removal, vehicle upkeep, and meal preparation.
- Paperwork, reporting, meetings, training, and other assigned tasks.
- You are at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience as an Ed Tech, CAN, BHP, or PSS is a plus.
- You possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
- You exercise good judgement and maintain sustainable interpersonal relationships.
- You are empathetic, reliable, and meet scheduling commitments.
