Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term stability. The ideal candidate will bring advanced accounting expertise and a strong ability to manage complex financial tasks with precision.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and execute advanced accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Perform detailed account reconciliation and analysis to maintain the integrity of financial data.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and documentation.

- Conduct audits and reviews of accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.

- Create and deliver advanced financial reports to support strategic decision-making.

- Collaborate with teams to assist in data cleanup and organization for system migration projects.

- Manage financial data collection and validation to ensure smooth transitions in accounting processes.

- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements within the accounts payable function.

- Maintain strong attention to detail while handling high-volume transactions and documentation.

- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and advanced accounting tasks.

- Proficiency in Net Suite or similar accounting software.

- Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial analysis.

- Knowledge of audit procedures and the ability to conduct thorough reviews.

- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Ability to manage data collection and cleanup for financial projects.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across departments.
