Calibration Process Optimization Intern
The internship will be from either January
- August 2027, or May
- December 2027. This internship takes place in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the headquarters of Bosch North America, in the Calibration Engineering group of Power Solutions.
Calibration is the process of finding the perfect parameters which make engines and vehicles perform at their best. The successful candidate will be given an 8-month project in one of two areas, based on their skills and career focus.
These include supporting:
- Creation and programming of automated test scripts
- Data exploration, analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling
- Data mining and pattern recognition
- Software In-the-Loop simulation development and testing
- Support learning and collaboration events (Hack-a-thon, Coding/AI training, etc.)
- Support and learning about Calibration Engineer's daily activities (flashing vehicles, analyzing data, validating software and data, etc.)

Your ProfileMinimum Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, and/or Computer Science with at least one semester completed
- 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems.
- Very good Python or C++ skills and has written own scripts (not just auto code)
- A minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must work 35-40 hours per week
- Valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive-related hobby and/or experience working with engines or vehicles.
- Experience with other programming languages
- Projects in automotive field
- Leadership / Ownership experience
