Marching Band Visual Coach

Support the FHS Marching Band by assisting the visual director and marching band directors in growing the competitive marching band program. To help with marching and body movement techniques. Experience working with marching band or drum corps programs is required. Ability to work as a team member and independently, strong organization and problem-solving skills, and positive interpersonal skills are essential. Maintain leadership qualities including maturity, professionalism, discipline, encouragement, respect, and an understanding of adolescent needs.

Attend rookie camp in June and full band camp and rehearsals in August. Other outside rehearsals/performances are encouraged. Implement marching/body movement technique in an ensemble or sectional setting. Teach and clean visual aspects of the show: drill, marching, dancing, etc. Assist Marching Band Director and maintain knowledge of current best practice in visual program to continue Farmington's progress toward successfully competing with the region's most highly-regarded marching programs.
