SpEd Paraprofessional -15 hrs​/week

Boeckman Middle School – $22.00 per hour (2026‑27 school year) – 15 hrs/week –

Provide assistance to teachers in meeting the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities. Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce motor, academic, social, self‑care, or communication skills under the direction of the teacher. Assist the teacher(s) in devising strategies for reinforcing skills based on an understanding of students' needs, interests and abilities. Assume responsibility for learning and adapting to each student's special medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs.

Assist students with physical disabilities in accordance with their needs, including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting, and positioning.

• Experience working with children; work experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, and AA degree, or 60 semester college credits, or successful completion of the para‑professional test.
• Six months of experience working with children or six months of post‑secondary education in early childhood, speech pathology, education, special education, or a similar field of study. This may be substituted for experience.
