Financial Analyst
Duties
Helps performs multiple and varying assignments under limited direction. Acts as an individual contributor and/or team member, and may lead small projects/programs. Applies advanced knowledge to plan and accomplish assignments, often requiring cross-functional expertise. Maintains line of sight on District/Technical Services goals, ensuring alignment with FAA objectives. Identifies and analyzes problem areas, trends, and program accomplishments to recommend changes in objectives, operations, and resource utilization.
Assists in integrating new programs and staff for maximum effectiveness. Analyzes and evaluates office procedures for optimum efficiency. Serves as the principal budget expert, assisting management in budget formulation and execution. Compiles annual budgets based on current and projected program requirements, including financial and analysis monitors. Recommends alternatives and resolutions for budget submissions. Demonstrates independence in planning and resource management for projects/programs.
Recommends cost reduction methods and assists in fiscal program execution. Conducts comprehensive program reviews and financial evaluations. Contacts are primarily internal and external to share information and explain policies. Resolves most problems independently, referring complex issues to more experienced professionals for assistance.
