- Administer the CMS including installing updates, implementing new technologies, troubleshooting errors, and maintaining day‑to‑day operations.
- Create and maintain users and permissions for content editors within the CMS and web‑forms systems.
- Update, configure, and maintain web software including IIS and Apache Tomcat across a variety of operating systems, and make recommendations on third‑party applications.
- Apply advanced understanding of current and future technology architecture and integrate this knowledge into design, problem solving, planning, and strategic technical roadmaps.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues by performing thorough analysis and generating root‑cause analysis for any production incident.
- Create, code, and test responsive web applications, features, and sites on development servers outside the CMS.
- Create, code, test, implement, and maintain content types and layouts in the CMS using web programming languages.
- Develop and maintain new systems that can be deployed through the web to optimize processes.
- Evaluate and improve new and existing code to ensure proper structure, industry standards, and compatibility across browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Evaluate new and existing code and website content to ensure it meets current ADA and WCAG standards.
- Improve existing code to include features used by assistive technology.
- Guide users in ADA mitigation of content, including documents (PDF, Microsoft Office), video, images, and other media intended for the CMS.
- Work with PR/Marketing to configure the CMS for efficiencies and workflows, including content expiration notifications and approvals.
- Provide recommendations to the Web Advisory Committee regarding new initiatives such as mobile applications, CMS upgrades, website redesigns, and Google Analytics reviews.
- Assist Marketing and PR with large content‑based projects.
- Develop and deploy electronic forms (Form Site, Unity, HTML, PDF, and Gravity) and support Hyland OnBase.
- Assist in collecting and documenting user requirements, developing user stories, estimates, testing strategies, and work plans.
- Create and conduct training for content managers on CMS and web‑forms usage.
- Establish and promote development guidelines, best practices, and standards for related group websites.
- Manage the testing process, including test plans, test cases, protocols, testing environments, and coordination of actual website testing.
- Identify new systems and processes to reduce workload or improve efficiency.
- Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on software status, operation, and maintenance.
- May be involved in various multi‑departmental web projects.
- Develop and support web applications, including web‑based administrative systems.
- Combine conceptual understanding with applied experience to provide seasoned technical expertise, high‑level analytical, interpretative, evaluative, and constructive advice.
- Evaluate requirements and enhancement requests, proposing solutions with consideration of cost, impact, standards, and compatibility with other systems.
