** As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with mental health and substance use disorders to enhance their daily living and work capabilities. * Key Responsibilities:

* · Complete the intake, screening, and assessment process within state regulatory time frames.  
· Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment information per regulatory guidelines.  
· Facilitate group counseling and education sessions, focusing on recovery from substance use.  
· Document all services provided in compliance with state agency standards.  
· Handle crises effectively to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.  
· Engage in ongoing training and adhere to continuing education requirements.
** Education, Experience, and/or Credential

Qualifications:

*
* · Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a human services field (non-licensed), and/or certification as a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board.  
· Credentials including Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), among others, are preferred.

* Additional Qualifications:

* · Current driver’s license and auto insurance with an acceptable driving record.  
· Must successfully complete all background checks.  
· CPR and First Aid certification required within three months of hire.
